PENELOPE TREE

Kui Penelopest tehti 13 aastasena esimesed modellifotod ähvardas tema issi kogu maailma kohtusse kaevata kui pildid päevavalgust näevad. Aga noh paar aastat hiljem rahunes maha ja 1967 aastal sai alguse modellikarjäär. See fakt on ka päris tuus - John Lennon ütles Penelope kohta: "Hot, Hot, Hot, Smart, Smart, Smart!". Votnii, selline põnev naine.

When Penelope got photoshoot at the age of 13 for the first time her dad vowed to sue if the pictures got published. A bit later in the 1967 he calmed down and the model career began. Cool cat fact is that John Lennon used to say about her -  "Hot, Hot, Hot, Smart, Smart, Smart!". Voilla. Such an interesting lady.

Tree made a striking appearance at the 1966 Black and White Ball thrown by author Truman Capote, wearing a black V-neck tunic with long slashes from the bottom making floating panels, worn over black tights. The sensation she caused led photographers Cecil Beaton and Richard Avedon to work together to make her a supermodel.

JANINE REWELL x MINNA PARIKKA

Nagu ma kunagi ammustes postitustes juba kirjutasin meeldivad mulle hullult Minna Parikka kingad. Ei oma veel ühtegi paari, aga mõistagi võiks. Ja nüüd paar päeva tagasi oma kalli sõbranna Eevi kaudu sain tuttavaks kalli Heidiga kes töötab MP-s ja tutvustas siin mulle just neid ülituusasid fotosid. Nimelt Helsinki illusteerija Janine Rewell kollaboreeris Minna Parikkaga SS14 kollektsiooni visuaalide loomises ja chekkige mis sai. Ülituus. Nagu ma alati ütlen - pildistamistel tuleb ikka koostööd teha põnevate loovpommidega ja siis läheb kõik hästi.

And thru my dear friend Eevi I met another awesome friend Heidi the other day, she works at MP and introduced this hot photo collab to me! Helsinki based illustrator Janine Rewell and shoe designer Minna Parikka teamed up for MINNA PARIKKA SS14 imagery and look what happened. As I always say, use creative ass people in your shoots and the outcome will amaze the ballz out of everybody!

I've been a huge blended drinks fan since I got a good blender, so here's some advice on that part that I've picked up along my internet life journey. Nice purple drink / just blend it all: 200 ml (organic goat- or soy-) yogurt 1 handful frozen blueberries 1 handul frozen mango 1 tbs beepollen/you can do honey too 1 tbs goji berries (No blending) Coconut Champagne / dip the top of glass in syrup then in cocnut for the prettyness, then add equal amounts of each liquid, done: Pineapple Juice Coconut Juice Blend  Champagne or Prosecco well chilled Simple Syrup Finely shredded coconut

TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN

Ma pole kunagi teinud mingeid uusaasta lubadusi, kust see jabur komme üldse pärineb. Selle eest, teen lubadusi aasta keskel ja täidan neid ka kohe. Või vähemalt üritan olla inimene kes nõnda talitab. Aga siit tuleb veidi 2014 tunnetusega pilte. Muide minult tuleb üks suuremat sorti loeng EKA's ja lisaks hakkan moeosakonnas Tanel Veenrele abiks uute moekunstnike koolitamisel terveks semestriks. Väga puhev ja hea tunne sellega seoses :)

I never make any new years promises, I make them during the year and start fulfilling them immediately. Or at least I try to be the human who's like that. By the way I'm going to give a fat beautiful lecture in Art Academy and also help out fashion departments Tanel Veenre with lecturing during the whole semester. Feeling glorious :)

Kimberly ja Nancy Wu andekus vohas ja kasvas üle maade ja merede kuni jõudis lõpuks ka minu silme ette. Just sellise detailide rohkusega ja selliste fotodega peaks sellist tööd esitlema. Laitmatu! Hinnad kõiguvad 300-700 dollari kandis, nagu kvaliteet nahatoodetel ikka, aga süda väga ei valutaks sellisesse kraami investeerida, sest tunda on, et Kimberly ja Nancy ei hoia samuti tagasi. Mmmm!

Kimberly and Nancy Wu's extremely talented creations finally made it in front of my eyes. Love the details, love the photography - it's exactly how you should present a work like that. The prices go somewhere from 300-700 dollars as quality leather goods usually go, but in this case I don't feel like it's overpriced at all, as you can absolutely feel that Kimberly and Nancy has invested so much time and thought in their work too.
