Kui Penelopest tehti 13 aastasena esimesed modellifotod ähvardas tema issi kogu maailma kohtusse kaevata kui pildid päevavalgust näevad. Aga noh paar aastat hiljem rahunes maha ja 1967 aastal sai alguse modellikarjäär. See fakt on ka päris tuus - John Lennon ütles Penelope kohta: "Hot, Hot, Hot, Smart, Smart, Smart!". Votnii, selline põnev naine.

When Penelope got photoshoot at the age of 13 for the first time her dad vowed to sue if the pictures got published. A bit later in the 1967 he calmed down and the model career began. Cool cat fact is that John Lennon used to say about her -  "Hot, Hot, Hot, Smart, Smart, Smart!". Voilla. Such an interesting lady.

Tree made a striking appearance at the 1966 Black and White Ball thrown by author Truman Capote, wearing a black V-neck tunic with long slashes from the bottom making floating panels, worn over black tights. The sensation she caused led photographers Cecil Beaton and Richard Avedon to work together to make her a supermodel.

Kristel Kuslapuu teeb asju mida ma ajaks selga iga kell, Kätlin Kaljuvee ja Stuudio Nahk panid eriti mõnusa moenädala tunde sisse, Kriss Soonik on Kriss Soonik (päkapikud olid creepyd ja tuusad) ja Antonio saigi kuldnõela nagu pidigi saama.

Tallinn Fashion Week is over, I visited shows that I was invited to, obviously, and they were great, obviously.  Kristel Kuslapuu knits are something I absolutely want to wear. , Kätlin Kaljuvee and Stuudio Nahk gave us the ultimate fashion week feeling. Kriss Soonik is Kriss Soonik and you gotta love those dwarfs. Antonio got the Gold Needle award as he had to :D

Ma täiesti unustasin ju mainida, et PÖFFi tõttu olen käinud vaatamas sadat miljonit filmi millest väga suur osa on lausa eriti lahedad filmid. Muidugi Moeprogramm on olnud ülikõva ja inspireeriv. Ja kui ei jõudnud või ei osanud valida, siis misiganes teidpidi soovitan igastahes kuskil kuidagi ära vaadata DIANA VREELAND'i eluloo dokfilm The Eye Has To Travel. See on lihtsalt nii kõva ja ta on nii võimas naine, et ma jätaks iseenda maha ja hakkaks tema austajaks otsemaid. Kes ei tea, siis Diana oli moe-toimetaja-kirjutaja-juhendaja 1920-test aastatest kuni 80'ni välja (Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Metropolitan Museum of Art)! Mida ma veel eriti tahtsin välja tuua, et 40'tel kaevas ta välja ja andis maailmale selise modelli nagu Lauren Becall. Mind lihtsalt nii vaimustas Diana tuleviku visioon, veel enne kui jõudsid moodsaks saada Twiggy (kelle leidis samuti Diana) või kesiganes tänapäeva moeikoonidest, leidis ta tüdruku, kes reaalselt oleks justkui tänastelt kaantelt välja astunud ja aasta oli tegelikult 1940!! Votnii. Ühe hingetõmbega trükkisin ära.

I totally forgot to mention that as the Black Nights Film Festival has been on I've been watching kilos and tons of superawesome movies and of course the Fashion Program has been absolutely inspirational to the max! For those who haven't seen it I absolutely recommend at ANY COST look up DIANA VREELAND documentary The Eye Has To Travel. I am so in love with his woman, and she is such a role model. (Fashion editor, writer and director at Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with a career from 1920's to 1980's.) Another thing that I need to put on a silver plate is that she discovered a model and an actress Lauren Becall. You know, in the 1940's! Before there was Twiggy (who she also found) or any other model cult figure, there was this girl from so many years ago who looked like she just walked off nowaday's magazine cover. This is just an absolute proof of Diana's true vision and ability to predict the future of fashion. Voilla! I think I just typed it in a glimpse of an eye.
