Augustpiration

Sososo my bd passed by, I thank everyone who was with me in one or another form, I love you guys sincerely. Life is moving on with a redicsballs tempo. Maybe you know maybe so - I and Karl took the next step from the big agency and are working on our own little studio, quality stuff. Stuff we used to work on in the evening with the sound of thinking - Hmmm. So if you have any proposals, you wanna do something together or you want to order something from me, go on helene at hmmm dot ee.

August has always been shitty time for blogging. Birthday, Flow, preparations for the dark times, all that. Oh I'm coming to Munchen for the creative camp soon, great stuff! Anyway, here in the Old Town studio I am obsessed with creating great stuff more than ever. I'm happy.
How about some stylespiration for being a unicorn.

ETSY: HELVETIKA: UUSTUUS: NEWKEWL: VINTAGE

After hundred years of empty promises and pulling my shit together I made it and took enough pictures of my vintage collection that have been waiting to meet new owners for way too long. Thankfully vintage only gets better with time and Twiggy & Wes Anderson looks will never be out of time or style. I was also thinking to take on a men department with a lil help from Pello, if there are men who would be insterested?

Marilyn was my model, the tired look is intentional ofcourse. I only let her sleep 2h that night so the look would become Kate Mossy enough. So lets fight that ugly weather with pretty clothes.

SLACKER MAGAZINE IS HERE

New Kewl free Slacker lifestyle magazine has hit Estonian streets and tho right now it's only in estonian it's still worth to check out international wise, you won't get the wonderful smart talks but beautiful pictures are for everybody! The mastermind behind the team is creative Anne Vetik and inside you won't find too much photoshop, texts rewritten by picky editors and taking oneself too seriously. And that's exactly what we needed here!
So I stole a couple of images from the Slacker mag so you could get the drill, more stuff on paper and in bigger format in real life, with author notes and everything. Get yours for free from Tallinn Biit, Hetk, Lendav Taldrik, Sfäär, Sinilind, F-hoone, Kukeke, Boheem and Kamahaus and from Tartu Genialistide klubi, Noorus, Võru Varblane, Disainimaja, Meat Market, Uuskasutuskeskus and Univercity cafe.

Lets like the shit out of this.

Oh and by the way, about my London trip! I uploaded all that I have on Flickr, here it is:

ERKI 2014 // WHAT WAS KEWL

It was ERKI Fashion Show this weekend, which is an annual local and a zip of foreign Fashion sort of Academies student fashion event which grew out of Estonian Academy of Arts Fashion show into almost Fashion Week kind of thing. So it's pretty big. I had so many mixed feelings about it this time and altho everything was a ok it was easier for me to pick out certain favourite items from the collections rather the whole collections. Altho there where quite many that hit the idea of a full-wide-varied collection. I thought thay jury would prefer Printeps or Dream Man, but somehow my heart went to Fear Generation - and it won! So this time we think alike. But the others did an awesome job and where great too. I should also mention the FASHION FILMS! Several young film makers assisted the fashion artists and created some greatness and I got to get some embeds on that to show off. Not all of them, but what can I do if people hide away their work. Eat the beauty with your eyes and enjoy the photographs by Jelena Rudi/Elu24. I picked out the pieces I'd pretty much wear.

THE FEAR GENERATION / Anna Jelizarjeva (EKA Moedisain I) / Loved the little hands and eyes illustrations / Loved the video by Elisa Johanna Känd

TÄITSA PAEL! / Kätrin Avarmaa, Kristiina Veinberg, Marit Nõmmik, Katre Kivi, Raili Randmaa, Maarja Põld, Kairi Katmann, Marielle Palmiste, Jana Roopa, Egle Lillemäe (EKA tekstiilieriala) / Loved the oversized bird-ponchos

Kollektsioon 4.1 / Anette Samm / loved the maxi-dress

Printeps / Hanna Haring / Loved these two pieces, especially the cut of jacket

Stuck in grey crowd / Eva Maria Kõrvas / Loved this particular vest, more more more

Wonderful performance Artificial Aid! Kristiina Feldmann

It feels like war / Olga Listunova / More like it feels like Monki and I like these

Ikarus / Taavi Turk / Great MUA and nice concept throughout

Gallop / Darja Popolitova / Love the lockets

Nice one by Versac-khm-khm-Zafran and a nice one by Margot Vaaderpass
plus a wonderful architectural film by Andres Kõpper for Margot Vaaderpass No2

Braille / Kati Stimmer / Looked like high quality from where I sat!

The Dream Man / Tiina Ree / Loved the variations and fullness / Loved the video directed by Janar Aronija, Rober Niko - great sound!

So we were happy like that at first and then our car broke and all of my plants on the balcony died. Wish this smiling person some luck!
